How to Get Beach Ready Humidity-Proof Hair

How to Get Beach Ready Humidity-Proof Hair

Spring is here and summer is just around the corner, which means more beach days and time to cash in that PTO! While lounging on the beach sipping a piña colada, you definitely shouldn’t have to worry about your hair frizzing up and killing your buzz. So if you’ve got beach days or a tropical vacay coming up, influencer Sona Gasparian is here to help you get the humidity-proof, frizz free curls you’ve always wanted!

Step 1: Starting with damp hair, apply Mistress Hydrating Hair Balm and work into hair from roots to ends. Brush through with fingers or a Wet Brush for even distribution.

Step 2: Section hair and blow dry using the T3 Cura Hair Dryer with the smooth styling concentrator attachment.

Step 3: Apply Speechless Dry Oil Finishing Spray to each section of hair to reduce frizz and add hydration. Repeat each section until whole head is completed.

Step 4: Divide hair and section with hair clips. Using the T3 1” Undone Waves curling wand, take small ½” sections of hair, leaving about 2 inches out for a more undone look. Hold for 5 seconds.

Step 5: Release hair and alternate direction of curl (away from face and towards the face).

Step 6: After curling each section, spray Beach Club Texture Spray 12 inches away from the hair for natural-looking texture.

Step 7: Repeat until whole head is complete. (Note: Curls will be tight, but will open up and become more beachy throughout the day and after sleeping on hair)

Step 8: Finish with a Sincerely Jules x Scunci headband for a fun, warm weather friendly look.

3 Game of Thrones Hairstyles For The New Season

3 Game of Thrones Hairstyles For The New Season

Winter is coming. In honor of the final season of Game Of Thrones, Nine Zero One Stylist Jill Buck created three worship-worthy braided hairstyles featuring iconic half-up buns, twists and curls.

Plot Twist

Step 1: Prep the hair with IGK Thirsty Girl Coconut Milk Leave-In Conditioner to add hydration, reduce frizz and protect the hair while heat styling.

Step 2: Mist  IGK Next Level Nordic Cotton Heat Activated Volume Spray at the roots for added volume

Step 3: Blow dry hair 75% dry, then finish with a large round brush for smoothing.

Step 4: Section from temple to temple and to the high point of the head. Take 1/2 inch sub-sections from within that parting and create two mini French braids.

Step 5: Add IGK Down & Out Dirty Spray in the hair that remains from the sectioning and secure with a rubber band.

Step 6: Find a fun accessory that is able to be woven into the braids such as lace, and crisscross 3 times. Secure the end with a Bobby pin.

Step 7: Gently pull hair forward in between each crisscross in order to create volume with in the section.

Step 8: Cross the mini French braids over rubber band and secure with two Bobby pins.

Step 9: Wand curl the remaining hair, moving away from the face. Spray with IGK Beach Club Volumizing Texture Spray and brush curls with a boar bristle brush.

Mother of Dragons

Step 1: Prep the hair with IGK Thirsty Girl Coconut Milk Leave-In Conditioner to add hydration, reduce frizz and protect the hair while heat styling.

Step 2: Mist IGK Next Level Nordic Cotton Heat Activated Volume Spray at the roots for added volume

Step 3: Blow dry hair 75% dry, then finish with a large round brush for smoothing.

Step 4: Section hair in half horizontally around the center of the head. Spray IGK Down & Out Dirty Spray all through the top half.

Step 5: Using a small 1/2 inch brush, smooth hair into a tight half-up section. Finish with a rubber band. You can add mini braids into the sections as well.

Step 6: Braid 3 sections with 2 inches of hair in each. Secure with rubber bands. One braid at a time, place one straight up from ponytail, another to the right and another to the left as if creating a T shape. Secure with Bobby pins.

Step 7: Wand curl the remaining hair in small sections. Curl away from the face. Spray with IGK Beach Club Volumizing Texture Spray and brush to finish.

Queen of the North

Step 1: Prep the hair with IGK Thirsty Girl Coconut Milk Leave-In Conditioner to add hydration, reduce frizz and protect the hair while heat styling.

Step 2: Diffuse hair about 75% dry, then add IGK Down & Out Dirty Spray before diffusing all the way dry.

Step 3: From the center of the head, take a 2 inch section straight back. This is the starting point of your knotted rope braid. Taking a section from the right side of the head, smooth it straight back and create a loop over the original first section. Pull the hair through the loop, tighten and pin. That creates your first “knot”. Repeat on the left, and back to the right until half of the hair is pulled up. Secure with a rubber band.

Step 4: Use a 1 inch iron in order to create an S Wave pattern throughout the hair on a few strands, leaving the diffused pieces throughout.

Step 5: Finish with IGK Beach Club Volumizing Texture Spray and separate curls with hands.

Halloween Hair: Magical Unicorn

Halloween Hair: Magical Unicorn

Finally figured out our halloween costume. @SherryMaldonado shows us how to create this unicorn hair look.

Step 1: Section out a small section of hair on the top of your head. Pull it into an elastic.

Step 2: Pull the remainder of your hair into a sleek ponytail just behind the horn on the top of your head.

Step 3: Mist Good Behavior Spirulina Protein Smoothing Spray for frizz control. For best results, activate with a blow-dryer.

    • Take a square piece of strong paper and fold over into a cone. Tape down the edges.
    • Poke a hole in either side of the cone and wrap an elastic through each hole.
    • Put the horn on top of the ponytail on top of your head. Secure around the back of your head with the elastic.
    • Secure horn with pins

Step 5: Leave your ponytail loose out of the bottom of the horn

Halloween Hair: Liberty Belle from Netflix's Glow

Halloween Hair: Liberty Belle from Netflix's Glow

    Halloween Costume Liberty Belle

Fight like a girl. @JamieKoala shows us how to create Liberty Belle's look from Netflix's Glow.

Step 1: Wash with 30,000 Feet Volume Shampoo & Conditioner. This duo is the best in-shower base for volume. The shampoo cleanses and the conditioner softens without weighing hair down.

Step 2: Towel dry your hair.

Step 3: Tone out any brassiness in your blonde, pastel or highlighted hair with Mixed Feelings Leave-In Blonde Toning Drops. Mix a few drops (use more if you have darker blonde hair) with your Mistress Hydrating Hair Balm. Work through your hair with your hands.

Step 4: Finger comb Rich Kid Coconut Oil Air Dry Styler from mid-lengths to ends for lightweight hold and shine. Blow dry your hair for faster styling + added volume.

Step 5: On dry hair, mist 30,000 FEET Volume Powder Spray to the roots. The bentonite clay formula adds immediate density and volume. A little goes a long way, so start small and build as needed. Massage into your roots with your fingers and comb your hair up to build volume.

Step 6: Add volume to your mid-lengths and ends with First Class Charcoal Detox Dry Shampoo. Shake well and mist through the lengths of your hair. Work with your fingers to build volume

Step 7: Add curls with a curling iron

Step 8: Use a come to tease out hair and build bigger volume. Your curls shouldn’t look too defined. Brush hair back away from your face

Step 9: Finish with Intern Flexible Hold Hair Spray

Step 10: It wouldn't be the 80's without some glitter. Use Preparty Sprinkle Hair Strobing Glitter Spray for a multi-colored dusting of glitter.

Step 11: Add your GLOW makeup look + your leotard
